The Town.

Sea Change Presents is based in Totnes town.

Alongside the Sea Change programming, it is a vibrant town for you to explore. If you want to plan your visit (and accommodation), there is a website all about Totnes that is coordinated by the Town Council and is super useful.

We never like to assume that you know how Sea Change works, so here are some FAQ’s.

Q. Can I buy tickets to individual shows?
A. In short; no. Sea Change is designed as a multi-venue experience where - with your wristband - you move between spaces to experience music, film and conversation.

Q. Can I buy a day ticket?
A. Yes, Friday, Saturday and Sunday day tickets are available now.

Q. Can I get into every show?
A. You have access to all* of the programmed events with your weekend wristband and all of the events on the day that corresponds to your day wristband. Each venue has a capacity, so you could in theory arrive to a specific show and find it to be full. We have programmed the weekend to hopefully avoid this and in our experience we tend to find everyone happily finds something to watch at all times. If you want to 100% attend a specific event (artist), then just arrive ahead of time and you’ll have no issues.

* Excludes Chilly Gonzales.

Q. What is the overall capacity?
A. Sea Change is incredibly intimate, with just 600 weekend wristbands available for programming across six spaces in the town.

Q. Do you offer family or Children tickets?
A. We do not offer family tickets, but Sea Change has a really good vibe for those curious to come and experience it, especially younger folk. We don’t sell children tickets, we instead decided to make access free for anyone under twelve. All other tickets are the same price.

Q. Wait, Children can attend for free?
A. That's correct, but they must be attended at all times by an adult.

Q. Can they come to Chilly Gonzales?
A. Afraid that is the one exception. If we are able, we will make standalone children tickets available (they will be £20) in May, but it seems unlikely. The event is seated and we need to specifically know the number of seats.

Q. How can I attend the KEVICC emerging talent showcase on Saturday 28th?
A. Great. We’re excited about this show! You can either buy a weekend ticket, a Saturday day ticket, or if you are not interested in any of the other Sea Change programming, you can attend just the KEVICC show for a small charge. There will be limited tickets available on the door (Civic Hall) for £5 per person. They are not for sale in advance and can not be reserved, just arrive at the Civic Hall at 1pm where they will be on sale.

Q. What about COVID?
A. We’ll keep a close eye on the numbers as we approach the weekend and act suitably and safely in the best interest of everyone in attendance. This might mean wearing of masks and we anticipate this will very likely include the requirement to take a lateral flow test and report proof of a negative result. We will publish the specifics on our website in advance of the weekend.

Q. What if you have to cancel?
A. Although we think it very unlikely, in the event that Sea Change can not operate, we will offer full refunds.

Q. What if I am personally unable to attend due to COVID parameters?
A. So long as you request a refund from our box office partner (Citizen ticket) in advance of the live event (no later than Wednesday 26th May), they will issue a full ticket refund. Thereafter we are unable to issue a refund.

Q. Is accommodation included?
A. Sea Change is a town based event, accommodation is up to you to arrange and is not included in the ticket price. The Visit Totnes website has good listings for accommodation;

www.visittotnes.co.uk/where-to-stay

Q. What about camping?

A. We are not coordinating any camping. The visit Totnes site does have some regional listings, but here are two for you;

- Camp Dartington
- Steamer Quay Caravan Club Site

Q. So one more time, what is it?

A. You buy a wristband. Your order is digital. You arrive in Totnes. You go to the box office (we’ll send you clear info about where this is). You collect your wristband. You can attend any and all of the shows. They are based in buildings to include; St Mary’s Church, The Barrel House, The Civic Hall, The Barrel House, Birdwood House, The Totnes Cinema, The Bull Inn and Drift Records.
