11:00 - The Castle Procession
Totnes Castle - The Albatross.
"To launch the May 2023 Sea Change Weekender, Stone Club will be leading a 'Pillars of Wonder' procession from Totnes' Norman Castle, up the historic high street to The Albatross, where the co-founder Lally Macbeth and Matthew Shaw curate the day. To support the launch, English Heritage have granted all Sea Change ticket holders free access to Totnes Castle on the morning (up to 11am) to experience and even take part in the procession. Pillars of Wonder is a collaborative project between Richard Norris, Matthew Shaw and artist and punk-icon Jamie Reid. The procession will involve bespoke banners that Reid has created alongside costumes and other folklore artifacts. The procession will end with new and exclusive film playbacks from Pillars of Wonder and also Jimmy Kaulty (KLF) and Jem Finer (The Pogues) new Local Psycho project."
